How long does the process take?

It depends on whether we are copying a single image or whether you'd like us to combine a number of images. Orders placed over the phone or through the Website, will be sent to you usually within seven working days.

All you do is send us the image, the text and select from our typeface styles and we'll do the rest.

What kind of photographs can we engrave?

Pets in Peace can take any image up to A4 size. Drawings, colour or black and white photographs are suitable, as long as they are of high quality. We san the photographs into a computer and convert them on screen to black and white, to ensure a high quality, high contrast image ready for the laser etching.

Remember, the better the image, the better the result.

Can you use digital photographs?

Digital photographs are great but they must be saved as JPG and be a minimum of 200dpi.

What kind of graphical enhancements will be made to the photographs before the etching procedure?

Removal of dirt and scratches from photographs, crop the photo, join two or more people from different photographs to engrave onto one material.

What if I only want certain people in my etching?

Yes, we can 'edit' people from photographs but that's the only 'cosmetic surgery' we perform.

What happens to the photograph during the process?

Computer graphical images are made from the scanned images and not the original.

Steps to ordering

Select a photo or image. For digital images, select a high resolution (200dpi) image. Images sourced from the internet are low resolution and unsuitable. They may also be subject to copyright. (remember, the better the photo, the better the result).
Select your size and select your material.
Supply us with your words, say how you'd like them positioned on the plaque and then select from one of our size special typefaces. Up to 20 words is included. Over and above 20 words is $5 per 10 words or part thereof.
