God searched through the heavens
First near and then far
An angel is missing
Does not know where she are

She's god's favourite angel
That's has now gone amiss
She brought him great joy
And gave him such bliss

Six years have now lapsed
Since she'd gone astray
And god missed her more
Each passing day

But it wasn't just god
That missed his bright light
Since the day that she vanished
Heaven wasn't quiet right

Theres a delicate balance
On earth from above
The balance of goodness
The balance of love

And to upset this balance
Would set all in a spin
The angel had to come home
To make things right agen

Then the news from St Peter
God's favourite's been found
She's been living on earth
She's been kept safe and sound

And the gods heart was breaking
To make his angel come home
For her family on earth
Would feel hurt and alone

But what choice did he have
He brought back his bright light
To restore the fine balance
Then god asked her why

Your rules are quiet clear
Don't interfere from above
But that family down there
Really needed my love

How could I deny them
How could I say no
They cried out for an angel
God I just had to go

The time I spent with them
May not have been long
But the love that we shared
Was so pure and so strong

And with that he broke down
And the tears they did flow
He felt the pain from his angel
For her family below

Your heavens bright light
It can not do with out you

They were blessed with your presence
But their not sad anymore
For your sole is still with them
