Pets in Peace is the only pet crematorium in Australia to receive accreditation with the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories (IAOPCC). All of our staff are formally trained under the IAOPCC’s training program. Currently, there are no formal standards or regulations to guide the work undertaken in Australian pet crematoriums. At Pets in Peace, we aim to set the standards for pet cremation in Australia. We have adopted the Cremations Act 2003, which governs human cremation, to self-regulate our pet cremation process. We licence all our cremators as human cremators and uphold the required standards of maintenance and environmental management. We also use an integrated tracking system for all animals in our care, based on the American Vet Portal model. This system ensures a high-level of accountability, so we know where a pet is at every stage of the process. We also use CCTV monitors in all of our rooms to monitor activity. Visit us anytime and experience for yourself our dedication to creating superior standards in care and service.
