What cremation options do I have?
We’re proud to offer individual cremation services. Our individual
cremation packages ensure that you’ll receive only your pet’s ashes, returned safely in a box, container or urn of your choice depending on the package you choose.
Do you only cremate cats and dogs?
No, we cremate other small pets such as rats, birds, snakes and guinea pigs. We can also cremate some livestock, including small horses, but we ask that you call to discuss your requirements.
How do I know I'll receive my pet's ashes?
All individual pet cremations are conducted in their own chamber to ensure you receive all and only your pet’s ashes. We also use an online tracking system to ensure we know where every animal is, at every stage of the process.
Will I get to say goodbye before my pet is cremated?
Absolutely. Saying goodbye is an important part of the service we provide. We have private remembrance rooms where you can spend time with your cherished pet and say goodbye.
Will I receive a memento of my pet?
With your permission, we’ll supply a paint paw print and lock of fur from your loved one at no additional cost.
Do you offer any religious services?
We don’t offer specific religious services but we do welcome people of all faiths and respect any customs or practices that you wish to carry out. We have a qualified funeral celebrant who can perform a commemorative service for your pet if you wish.
Can I be present when my pet is cremated?
Yes, you may witness the cremation from our viewing rooms.
Can I supply my own urn?
Yes, if you have a preferred urn we’ll happily place your pet’s ashes in it instead of the standard scatter box or burial container.
What happens if I don’t want my pet’s ashes returned?
After performing the cremation, we’ll scatter the ashes in a dignified manner on your behalf.
Can you collect my pet from home?
We can collect your pet from your house, or any other location, as well as personally return your pet’s ashes to you following cremation.
What areas do you service?
Pets in Peace have three offices in Brisbane. We currently provide transfer services to Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Kingaroy and surrounding areas. A small transfer fee may apply outside the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich and Sunshine Coast areas. Please ask our staff if a travel fee may apply.
What happens if my pet dies in the evening or on the weekend?
We offer a 24 hour, 7 days a week service to ensure you receive the support you need during this difficult time.
Call us and we’ll help you work through what’s happening and decide on the next step.
If my pet is euthanised at the vets, can I choose where my pet is cremated?
Yes, the aftercare of your pet is a personal decision that only you and your family can make. We have arrangements with some veterinary practices, or you can let your vet know who’ll be caring for your pet. We are happy to collect your pet from your veterinary practice even if your vet doesn’t have an arrangement with us.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer prepayment plans to give you peace of mind that your pet will be looked after when they pass. We also offer payment plans via Ezidebit that allow you to pay off your plan over a period of time.
