McLuvin was my best friend.
As a puppy he filled my heart with love and stayed with me for 13 years.
Through so many stages in my life, leg was always there to greet me when I came home and snuggle into on the couch.
He had so many dorky nicknames, boy boy was started by my daughter Harlow as a baby, that name stuck and he always answered to it, there was also bwuffin, muffy, my man, tiny dog and mr luvin.
Your eyes were brown like a bear and so beautiful. You loved a toy pig named pg. you loved cheese the most and would chase Harlow around the house for cheese, she would giggle and play with you.
You loved to lick your feet which was so annoying but now the sound of not hearing that saddens me. You loved belly rubs. Loved going down the beach and getting wet.
You loved hanging your head out the car window and coming to school every day with us. “Boy boy, want to come for a ride in the car?!” And you’d get all excited and jump on in.
You became sick so quickly, one day you seemed fine and the next you were so ill. Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
I’m glad I got to hand feed you a plate of chicken right before we parted, which you loved. I hope you forgive me for sending you to sleep, I knew you were in pain, weak, and suffering.
That’s what made me say goodbye, but I really just wanted to keep you forever. I didn’t want to be selfish. You will forever be missed and forever have a place in my heart.
